We spoke with Ramsell about his work in the celebrity and editorial world, what makes him tic, and how he抯 turned his styling career to gold.

What was your first job in the industry?
It was Blink-182's "Feeling This" music video, directed by David LaChapelle. Sharon Gault was the head makeup artist, but she was also responsible for carrying on young, fresh hair artists from the Paul Mitchell Academy. It was a great first experience.

What is your styling philosophy?
Simplify. You'd be surprised how less is more.

How would you describe your personal style?
Dapper. I抦 the bowtie guy.

Who are your influences?
Just walking out the door and witnessing my surroundings [influences me]. I have also been greatly influenced by my mentor, the one and only Christiaan. I've learned so much from him over the years.

What is the craziest story you have from a photo shoot?
I don't kiss and tell卛f you only knew! Let's just say I抳e done a lot and seen a lot.

Tell us about your experiences working with Ke$ha.
She allows me to do what I think is best but also very much has her own vision. It's a mixture of both, and it really depends on the situation. She loves to be a hot mess, a wildcat. She makes it fun.
