"Not Just Another Local Boy"

Hairstylist Gerald DeCock gave a nod to days past for his recent Vogues Hommes International cover shoot with British actor Jamie Bell, who stars in the Steven Spielberg’s upcoming The Adventures of Tintin. "Jamie is very into the 1920s, '30s and '40s in his personal style, so I imbued this look with a '40s jazz vibe," says Gerald DeCock. "The hat he wore in the shoot is actually his own." Here, Gerald shares how to recreate this:

1. Work a combination of Gel Sérum, Crème for Style and Volumista through wet hair and blow-dry with your hands, lifting the hair at the root with your fingers to create slight lift at the hairline.
2. While drying, rub hair together with fingers to add roughness in the texture.
3. Finish the style with a small amount of Rough Luxury.
