True or false: It's bad to wear makeup on a long flight.
False. First of all, some makeup products, such as Vitalumiere from Chanel, have moisturizing properties that can help protect skin from getting dehydrated. Second, gossip rags prove that the worst place to get photographed by the paparazzi is in the airport after a long flight. A good concealer can help you look rested, even if you're not.

What抯 the best way to quickly perk up a tired-looking face after a long flight?
A great makeup tip I learned from my friend Troy Surratt, celebrity makeup artist and founder of Surratt Beauty, is to apply only a few products to key areas of the face: A tinted balm for lips, a swipe of Touche 蒫lat from YSL under the eyes and a dab of cream blush on the cheeks will make you look instantly refreshed.

What other travel tips do you have for looking your most beautiful when you land?
Remember to eat right before a flight. Avoid starchy foods, which will expand in your stomach as the atmospheric pressure changes, leaving you feeling bloated. Sugary and salty snacks cause dehydration, making your jet lag worse. Try to eat a healthy meal with lots of green vegetables and some protein before your trip, but don't be afraid of healthy fats; avocados and olive and coconut oils can help you stay fuller longer so you can resist the free junk food on the flight, and they ultimately benefit your skin. Probiotics, whether from fermented foods, kombucha or even in capsule form, can help keep you healthy and fight the germs from that neighbor in the row behind you with the cough.
