Armani Privé Spring 2011

The look for Armani Priv was about controlling the hair卪irroring the shape of the head. Because the models wore sleek Philip Treacy hats, we wanted to keep the hair as tight as possible.

Before I went to Paris, I knew the show was going to be super-modern and slick, so I had prepared several different ideas for Mr. Armani卝ust a few options to keep the hair small and compact. (One option we didn抰 end up choosing was extremely short hair.)

We worked together for a few days coming up with the right plan, and in the end, we went with a wrap style. We tried lots of different wraps, but he liked this concept the best. We didn抰 want the girls to look costume-y卼he simpler the wrap, the better.

How to get the look:
1. Make a center part to divide hair into two sections
2. Secure at the temple on both sides - almost like you抮e gathering pigtails - and spray Imperm閍ble Anti-Humidity Spray throughout for smoothness
3. With this wrap, the sections will crisscross low in back to make a turban shape. Take the left section and wrap it around the back of the head, then sweep it up to the front right-hand side. Pin the hair in front, and anywhere you need to control the hair and keep it close to the scalp. As you go, use Imperm閍ble Anti-Humidity Spray for streamlining
4. Complete the same process with the right section
5. Spray well with Superfine Hair Spray for shine, polish and hold. Once the hair spray is dry, you can remove some of the pins for a more finished look
