In celebration of Lunar New Year, Oribe has collaborated with Australian-Chinese artist Chris Chun to blend traditional Chinese art with a vibrant and modern twist. Taking inspiration from his cultural heritage, childhood memories, and travels around Asia, Chun captures this time of renewal in a captivating artwork featured on our limited-edition Lunar New Year Sets.
In his 2024 design for the Year of the Dragon, "The Dragon and the Peony," Chun wove in bold colors and lush, maximalist patterns. The wood dragon symbolizes vitality, growth, and kindness, while the Peony Rose embodies the essence of spring. For 2025's Year of the Snake, Chun's bold, mesmerizing packaging transformed the Snake into a tapestry of symbolism brimming with cultural richness and artistic flair. Through vibrant swirls of traditional auspicious patterns and motifs, from lush peonies and chrysanthemums to slinky snakeskin, Chun spoke to the traditions that hold us together.
